My Iron, PIF, Weather Rant

Su Bee tagged me to discuss the iron I am currently using. It is a Rowenta Effective. I know everyone has a love/hate relationship with them, but I think I finally found the right one, and it was only 50 bucks at my local Linens and Things. I have had it about a year and it does everyting I need it to do. It stays on, but not hot, and when I need to iron something, I just move it a little, and it heats up very quickly. And when I get stupid and get gunk on it when I am appliquing I can get the gunk off with wax paper.

It does have a sprayer on it also. I have had 2 other Rowentas that were much more expensive, and they both had issues, but this one I really do like. Su Bee also asked for opinions from other quilters, so I am tagging Cindy because I know she just bought one that she is very fond of. I am also going to tag Carol , Nicole , Lisa , Beth , and Miss Geranium herself to tell us about their irons.

I had a Play it Forward last November, and Mel signed up. I was finally able to honor my commitment to her and this is her PIF. I know she has received it, and I think she was very pleased with it.

Went to the doctor for follow-up on my bronchitis. I am much better but still have to use the breathing machine for the rest of this week to be sure everything is out of my lungs. I had to get some groceries and run some errands for Aud and I, and by the time I got home I was coughing again a lot. So I am totally worn out and coughing my fool head off. And I am tired of talking about not being well, so I am going to close out that subject, lol.

I am sick, sick, sick, of this weather! Yesterday we had nice warm weather in the 70's (I think, it felt like it) in the morning and then we had tornados come through here in later afternoon and then it rained and the wind sounded like howling banshees, and when I got up this morning we were back in the 30's. Oklahoma! I have decided everyone else's weather meets here, fights about which way it is going, and then, having left us a taste of what it is packing, goes it's merry way. So tomorrow, we have a pretty good chance of snow. I am so excited!!!

I may have to go back down the rabbit hole and seal it up if we don't see some good spring weather soon. Of course now is the official beginning of the violent weather season here in OK. At least that is a sign of spring, albeit not a pleasant one. I have seen some of my bulbs sprouting, but the yard is in such bad shape I am not posting any pictures. It needs so much work, and during one of our winds, part of the back fence blew down, and it will be another month before that gets fixed.

Maybe if I stand real still and look in all directions I will see spring come dancing down the street soon! Are we ready? YES!!! Wonder if it would do any good to write my Congressman about the weather? LOL!!

And someone tagged me to tell you'll 7 things about myself but I can't find the email that told me to tell you, lol. And I do remember emailing her last week to tell her I would get to it, but meanwhile, the subject I am no longer talking about happened, lol. SO, if you are out there and are reading this, please contact me again. I apologize, and am going to blame it on dementia, lol.

I Found a New Energy Source!, Seam Ripper, Web Sampler, Ironing Board

This is a picture of my brain! See all the lights? They are full of the energy being converted from the coughing I am doing because of the breathing machine I am using to clear out the crud in my lungs! There should be a way to harness this. With all of the people having this junk just look at the energy that is being wasted! Write your congressmen and senators. What an idea!

This is called a Nebulizer. It is what is helping me get the crud out of my lungs, aka bronchitis. When I went to the Doctor on Thursday, she gave me a shot and a breathing treatment with this. No flu or pneumonia, thank goodness. And thanks to everyone who has asked about me. I am still not totally well, but my sense of humor is coming back and when I'm not coughing or sneezing and can think a little, I am feeling better. Have to use this three times a day for I don't know how long. It gives me the shakes for about an hour, which is not fun, but I am better!

This is my ironing board. I can't remember who was asking about them, sorry about that, but this is mine. It is called a "big board", it fits over a regular ironing board. I bought it in 1999 when I first started quilting and it is on it's second cover. I don't know what I would do without it. It holds all the essential ironing stuff for quilting. No one in this house ever irons clothes, lol.

This is the pathetic output I have managed to accomplish on the Web Sampler Celebration. Severl of us are doing this. I am going to put links in the sidebar to all who are doing this quilt that I know of. E-mail me or post here if you are interested in being in the group and I will add you to the list.

This is Urban Garden, made from Free Spirit's collection of the same name. It came out to be 93 x 93. This is the quilt I was going to give my youngest granddaughter, but instead gave her another one more suitable for a young lady, lol. I just love it, it has been on my bed the whole month of February. Now it is time for a change.

Remember ths snazzy little gadget? I had several people ask about it, so I went looking. Below is a link to a review by Quilter's Review and the manufacture's name and phone number are in there. It comes in 3 colors! Enjoy!

Goodness, it's Bright Out Here!

Thought I better check in. Thanks to everyone who has checked on me. I still have weird things happening, but not as much, thank goodness. And, I am not sure whether what I have is bronchitis, flu, or pnemonia. I am about to give up and go see the doc.
Maybe tomorrow, lol.

Sharon keeps bugging me to post a picture of my purple hair. So, here it is!!! ROFLOL!!!

This is a little gadget I pickup up several years ago. The hook will come up and then can be used to separate patches when you are chain piecing. It saves time and movement of your hands. I don't remember where it came from, but I am sure someone out there has something similar.

These are some pictures of the sewing machine bendable lamp that I bought. It is really neat. I got extra pieces so I can move it from sewing machine to sewing machine.

I think I will quit for this night. I am getting tired again. Hope this week is going well for everybody! I just checked this for spelling and grammar errors. Wow, this is almost totally boring! Sorry, will try to do better next time., lol.

Not Leaving My Rabbit Hole yet......

I thought I might be able to climb out of the rabbit hole today, but "it ain't gonna happen". LOL I really think I am losing what few marbles I have left. And I am getting sick on top of everything else. All I have done today is cough and cough and cough.

I didn't get up until 1 this afternoon, and after I had some coffee and my heart started beating I decided to make another Web Sampler Block. So I am happily sewing along...not having to take any stitiching out, YEA!!! and Aud walks in and says we are gong to Bravo's, an Italian restaurant not too far from where we live.

Well, that is fine with me. They have scallops with ricotta gnochhi and spinach and sweet potatoes. That dish is wonderful!!! So I order this, and eat too much of it and since I need to make a couple of stops before we get home, I head for the ladie's room. The name for woman in Spanish is Senora, right?, and the name for a man in Italian is Signore, right? I have been in this restaurante lots of time, but TODAY, I walked into the men's, lol. As I am opening the door I think, gee this is the first ladies' room I have ever seen that is closer to the hall than the men's! About that time it dawns on me what I have done. ROFLOL Thank God there was nobody around!

Then we go to a couple of the stores that sell Nintendo DS games because I am looking for a new one. I bought myself one a couple of weeks ago, and ordered one for Aud from Amazon, but I didn't get her the same game as I have, and that isn't going to work, so I have to find this game. Wrong! Can't find it.

Then we go to Braum's, OK's place to get milk and stuff like that and we pick up some milk and stuff like that, and then go to Starbucks for some coffee.

I love Starbucks, and I have a card that automatically gets recharged when it get below $10. There is a long line at the drivein window and I place my order and it takes a while to get to the window. So I hand the girl my card and tell her, "don't put it on the Visa side, put it on the Starbucks side". My card is a Starbucks Duetto Visa card and I get more points when I use it at Starbucks. She says ok, and rings it up and hands it back to me, and sure enough, she has charged it on the Visa side. So I ask her why she did that when I had told her to put it on the Starbucks card. And she says "You gave me an Amazon card, it doesn't have a Starbucks side". And I had. Wouldn't you think that she would have said something? All I could do was shake my head and drink my coffee. Of course by now Aud is dying with laughter.

My movie review for tonight is Gone, Baby Gone, a very good movie! I highly recommend it. I still have Rendition and The Eastern Connection ( think that is what it is called) to watch. Will let you know the results on those later.

I do have some quilty things I can post, and some quilty pictures, but I think I will wait until the the dirt quits falling on my head, lol.

SO I have decided I am going to stay down here in the rabbit hole for another day or so and watch movies and see if the world turns right side up again before I venture out, lol. Meanwhile, I will just read your blogs, I am sure they are more interesting than mine right now anyway, :>)

I Know Just How She Feels...........

I think I will just pout a while longer. This week has been one of those weeks that held promise at the beginning, but has slowly deteriorated. I have spent the whole week playing musical sewing machines. I am about to decide it must be me that is the problem, none of them will cooperate. One of them won't stay threaded, the thread keeps breaking. Another one that I just paid to have an automatic threader put on won't let me thread anything now! I can't sew a straight seam, I can't thread the darn things, I can't find any of the three long needle nose tweezers I KNOW I have, I can't find some wool thread I KNOW I have, I can't find some fabric I KNOW I have, etc. with a couple of patterns, and so on and so on. I think the final thing happened this afternoon when I had just finished up something and Aud came in to talk, and I was going to show her what I had finally managed to get done, and I culdn't find it! I searched for 5 minutes, with Aud helping me, and we finally found it laying on my bed. How in the devil it got there is beyond me. Hilarious, right?

So I think I will just pout and stomp my foot a few more days and just watch movies.

And speaking off, this is a review of what I have kept my mind off of my sewing frustrations with.....

American Gangster....great movie, Denzel Washington does a fantastic job
Michael Clayton......same as above
Fiesta of Love.......funny little film, Morgan Freeman is wonderful as usual, even Aud enjoyed this one.
No Reservations.....I like Catherine Zeta Jones, and this was a fun story, and the music was really good in it if you like opera..I ordered the soundtrack
3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crowe was my favorite. I really, really liked this movie.

And that, my friends, is about all I have accomplished this week! Hopefully, this weekend things will turn around. I have all of my fingers and toes tied in knots and my eyes crossed and that is all I can do, lol.

She's Done It Again....

I try to look at the Fat Quarter Shop website every day or so just so I can keep up with the new lines, and everytime I think I can finally relax because Kimberly has shown the lines she is going to carry for the next several months, she does it again.

This time, she has a new BOM that looks like it might just be different from most of the others going on. And the fabric she is using is from the new Christmas line by 3 Sisters. Doesn't look like Christmas to me, so that's good, but it is so gorgeous, and the peak she is showing on her website of this BOM is so tempting, I am going to have to do it.

I don't think there is any hope for me as far as stashbusting this year, too much pretty fabric out there, lol

There is also a blog that a friend of mine has started up again. Her name is Gena and you might enjoy her take on life. Check it out.

If You're Ever in OKC on a Tuesday or a Thursday...............

come on by. We serve pretzels, Dorito Nacho Chips, and milk at approximately 5 pm. That is the time my granddaughters and their mother stop on their way going to or coming from wherever their day is taking them. It's a fun little slice of life and Aud and I thoroughly enjoy it.

This is a block from my Calico Craze quilt I am making. I am having to redo part of it because it didn't fit. I hate it when that happens.

And this is the beginning of the Kaffe Fassett quilt. This picture definitely doesn't do the colors justice.

I have discovered Popit and Word Whomp on Club Pogo. Talk about a great time waster, these two games definitey fall into that realm. But they are relaxing. And that is what I'm going to do right now. Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week.

Web Sampler Challenge, Piece & Plenty

As usual, Cindy has conned some of us into doing another challenge. This one is the WebSampler Celebration. There are 12 participating quilt stores and you buy a block from each one of the stores and a finishing kit from whichever store you like the best. I have chosen the finishing kit from Quiltworks. I have managed to get two blocks done so far. The stranger in the picture is the beginning of Festival of Trees.

Cindy, Lisa, Nicole, and Carol are also doing this challenge. Check out their progress, and if you are interesting in joining, let one of us know so we can link to you.

I am trying very hard to keep up with the Piece and Plenty BOM. These are the small baskets from Month 6. They are pieced and then I have embroidered the handles. Now I have to tackle the big applique piece from this month. I love the way this quilt is looking.

These are 2 sets of circle templates I treated myself too. They have already saved me lots of time. There is a set of small ones and another set of larger ones. I highly recommend them for appliquing those small circles. You can find them here.

And this is my laugh for you for the day. My ears have been bothering me a lot for a week or so. I really think it is just allergies, but I am so desperate that I went to our local health food store and bought some ear candles. Yes, ear candles. You stick them in your ear, light them, and the suction that is formed when the candle is pressed against the ear provides a drawing effect. It is amazing what that does. Absolutely amazing. I should have tried it on the ear that was hurting the most last, so I would have known what I was doing. At least one ear is clear. I have to go back and get some more of these, lol. And I picked up some "ear oil" to put in them after I used the candles. Talk about reverting to the middle ages or so, lol. That blur on the left is Aud's finger holding the camera.

And, if Haubeck will get in touch with me about the football betting? I don't have your email and I couldn't answer you.

Piece & Plenty Blocks 4 & 5, and Other Stuff

It has been a very busy week. I have had lots of energy and am desperately trying to get caught up on some quilting chores. They are called chores because all they do is clean up your sewing table a bit so you can load it back up. And that is what I did, lol.

Several weeks ago I gave my Janome Gold to a friend of mine’s little girl who is 10. She was so excited. I bought it in 2000 when I started quilting and I hadn’t used it in a couple of years. I thought that would be a good thing to do with it. Her mother bought her over and I showed her how to use it and she was so excited, she told her mother “I hope you intend to stay up all night.”

I felt very good about this for several days, and then I went to my daughter’s house to babysit. All of a sudden I didn’t have my traveling machine and I really was in the middle of doing a lot of quilting. I didn’t want to drag my Pfaff or Bernina with me and so I ended up not doing any sewing.

All I did was play with the Wii and watch “dumb” movies. If anyone likes Christopher Walken you have to watch Balls of Fire, it is so dumb, but typical Christopher Walken stuff. And the other one we watched was the one with The Rock and the little girl, forgotten the name of it. As my daughter and I and grandsons are watching the Balls of Fire at 11 that night and laughing ourselves silly from the dumbness we looked at each other and just almost cried we laughed so hard. I’m talking dumb here.

Anyway, I decided after that that I really needed to get a lightweight sewing machine. The others are just getting too heavy for me to lug around. Especially since I am not supposed to lift over 10 pounds with my right arm. So I went to see the local Janome dealer and came home with the new Janome Platinum. Weights 12 pounds and I just love it. They have put a variable stitch length and width capability on it and a few other refinements. Perfect for a class or travel machine. I also took the Pfaff to have it cleaned up, poor thing has never been in for cleaning.

With that now available to me I signed up for the weekly Wednesday sew-ins at the LQS. I took my new baby to the sew-in on Wednesday and spent the whole day making two blocks of the Web Sampler. Lots of pieces. Will show you Monday when we have our update.
While there I “just had to have” this Kaffe Fassett quilt kit. Isn’t it gorgeous? I have been cutting it out a little at a time the past 2 days. I am getting it ready to sew at next week’s sew-in.
I have also gotten my Piece and Plenty blocks 4 and 5 finished. Just in time, the newest one arrived yesterday. They seem to be getting more intricate, but they are so pretty.

And Miss Katie and her momma came by yesterday and Katy ate some cheese and fritos and dunked her cookie in some milk. Her momma and Aud and I ate tamales and queso. They were so good! They stop by a couple of times a week on their way to or from home and Katy always has to have something to eat. So this has become a ritual...chees, fritos, and milk, lol.

I decided not to give Katy the Urban Garden quilt. Instead I put it on my bed for February, and gave her one I made a couple of years ago that is perfect for a young girl’s room.. Here she is acting silly with it.

And that catches me up for the week. I am going to read some for a change. I have started Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and I am going to try to read a little every day. It will take a while, but so far I am throughly enjoying it.

Bet Booty!

A couple of weeks ago, before things went a little haywire in the land of blog, I received a package from the one and only Sharon. It was in payment for a bet we had made between us that Missouri would beat the Sooners in football. Well, guess what, she lost!, lol. She was out of town when I got the package so I waited until the dust settled before I shared this with you'll.

First, before the pictures, let me tell you, she whined so much about losing that bet, that I sent her a consolation prize. AND, I gave her a chance to bet against the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Did she take me up on that one? Nope! So she doesn't get anything for them losing. I guess she will have to wait until Missouri plays Oklahoma again to try to win another bet, lol.

Now on to the pictures. When I opened the box, the first thing I saw was lavender tissue paper! Is that not the coolest thing? I don't think I have ever gotten a package with lavender tissue paper before! It is so pretty, and those peppermints in there are my favorite kind! And of course the lavender goes well with the purple in my hair, lol.

Under the tissue was some more candy and this humongous gorgeous heart pincushion! I had to go buy some new pins just to fill it up! I love it, love it, love it!!!

And then there is the flying Santa. He is so cute! He is going in my sewing room on my wall to remind me daily of the nice person that gave it to me, lol.

So a big thank you Sharon. Can't wait until football season rolls around again!!!!!

They Lost!

I am so sad! I so wanted the Patriots to have an unbeaten season, but "you know what" happens. Oh, well, maybe next year!

A Quick Note

This has been a great Friday. Lots to tell and no time to tell it. But one thing I do want to mention is the giveaway that the Fat Quarter Shop is having. It is going to be a fat quarter bundle of the new Blackbird Designs collection called At Water's Edge. I just ordered it on Monday and it came in on Wednesday, and it is gorgeous! Love how fast my orders get to me from there! Almost instant gratification, lol.

Also, Vicki E is having a givaway in support of Sharon. Might want to stop off there and visit while you are blogging.

My favorite quilt for February is in honor of my favorite youngest grandson, Kyle, who is going to be 12 this month. I was showing this quilt to his mother while I was binding it and he asked me if he could have it. He was 7 at the time. When I asked him if he really wanted it, he said yes. What's a grandmother to do. It still lives on his bed, lol.

Challenge Quilt Revealed

Finally, after 2 months our challenge quilts are finished. Lisa , Nicole,Cindy and I have finished the blended quilt project we agreed upon in November of last year. From the glimpses I have seen in our progress reports I believe we have all come up with different interpretations of blended quilts, and all of the patterns are different.

I chose to use Windsor, a very dark dramatic fabric collection from Sentimental Studios that I found a couple of years ago. At the time I bought it I had this quilt pattern in mind because I wanted to achieve an old world tapestry look. I don't think this quilt will appeal to everyone, but it is done, and it looks like it is supposed to, lol. Maybe you will like it too.

I Just Went In For 3 Patterns........

I really did. I just went in for 3 patterns to add to my Elegant Garden that I am going to make. I let my oldest daughter talk me into babysitting Friday and Saturday (not sure you "babysit" a 12 year old, lol)and since I don't want to take my sewing machine with me I wanted some handwork to do. All of the patterns are available from Laundry Basket Quilts .

I am going to do this quilt in fossil ferns. I have been collecting fossil ferns a little at a time from The Cotton Club and now have fat quarters of all of them, and I always fall back on using them when I have to have a "special" color or whatever. Anyway, I have the whole enchilada color wise of them, and I think they will be gorgeous done in these patterns. I am using a fossil fern background for them.

Here are some of the colors in the fossil ferns, just to give you an example of what is available. And, I am using from stash! Yea!!

I was standing in the quilt store talking to one of the employees while another was hanging this quilt up. It is the Web Sampler Celebration quilt that is being done on the internet by 12 quilt stores. This quilt is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures do not do it justice, that's for sure. Even though I took these, it is difficult to see how pretty this quilt really is.

Cindy Lisa , Carol and I are going to do this one. Nicole is still on the fence. If you are going to do this sampler join us. I think 3 months should be ample time to finish it, which would give us until May 1.

Blended Quilt Challenge Deadline Changed

The Blended Quilt Challenge deadline that Lisa, Nicole, and Cindy and I are doing has been changed to the 31st due to "technical difficulties", lol.

You'll just have to wait a few more days, but I am sure the wait will be worth it. Meanwhile, I am going down the Rabbit Hole for a couple of days to read a book. Ciao!

I Am Touched

I received a Blog Award from Kimberly and I am really touched. It is an honor to be told that something you have done has made a person smile, or pause, in their daily life to share something you have written about, and enjoy it. Thank you Kimberly!

I have to pass this award along, and that is the hard part. I would like to give everyone I have shared a post or story with an award, but I can't do that. Just know that each and every one of you who has shared your life with me in some way has "made my day" at one time or another.

Cindy is the person that convinced me I need to blog, so I have to give her one. Without her nagging me I would never have met any of you. Sharon has to have one because she always seems to enjoy life and shares her joy with everyone, and truly makes me laugh. Juliann should get one for giving me things to think about that I might not if it weren't for her. Andrea always has some new and exciting crafty thing to share and I love to see what she comes up with. And then there is Susanne who can always be counted on for the unusual, lol. And last, but not least, Nicole and Lisa , along with Cindy have challenged me to produce a finished project in a timely manner. They are trying to get these old bones moving faster, lol.

Thanks to everyone in Blogland for giving me peaks into your lives. I thoroughly enjoy your company!

"I Am Certainly Healthy for my Age"

Ok, I can do a little dance. The dermatologist, who is a gorgeous long legged blonde, took one look at my cheek, grabbed her can of freeze, and froze me! I am now the owner of a dime sized spot that itches like you know what and weeps white tears when I cover it with Neosporin.

"I want to see you in a year, unless you have any further problems." So much for fighting windmills, lol. And another quote from the gorgeous blonde, "You are certainly healthy for your age"....hmmm, no sympathy there, lol.

So I can merrily go my way having Mad Hatter days or fight the windmills anyway or whatever the heck I want to. Thank you for your sympathy posts and asking about my health. Evidently we all worried in vain. Everyone breathe a sigh of relief.

I am working feverishly on my challenge quilt and, somehow or another, I can't make it look like the picture I had posted before. I still hope to have it finished by the deadline.

I picked up my Bernina today. That was a quick two weeks, thank goodness. I had the technician put an automatic threader on that, which will certainly save me some frustration.

I picked up a quilt from my quilter last week and am working on the binding. My daughter came by at lunch and was talking about Katy (4) needing a quilt for her bed. Did I have her on my radar for a quilt? Hah...sometimes I think she knows when I have one ready. She took one look at the one I am binding, and said, oh this one will be wonderful, just the right color. Lol. I will take a picture of it before it goes. And it is a big one, 90" square.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I think all I have done this week is run errands. Everyone stay warm!

Just Stuff

I have a friend and another somebody that tried to scare me about my boy, Tom Brady. His father says he is fine, and you know that boy's father wouldn't lie, so I am not getting upset and flying around the room at the moment. Maybe a week from now, but not at the moment. I have too much to do, the challenge quilt deadline is rearing its' ugly head, and my blocks are behaving badly.

I had to go buy a new mouse today for my computer. My old one took a 3 foot dive onto a tile floor and said "bye bye". So I went to Best Buy, and bought a holder for my ITouch while I was there. Now if I can just get that thing to do all it is supposed to do, that will be something. I just need time. Hah....

Speaking of, Shelina and Dot are going to do Judy Martin's Shakespeare in the Park quilt. It is in her The Creative Pattern Book, and you can buy it here. Here is what it looks like.

Isn't this gorgeous? I think I am going to join them in their challenge if they don't care. After all, they are giving themselves a year to do it, so I thought it might be a good way to reduce my stash. I have lots of blues and creams. I surely could do that in a year, right? Does somebody want to get in on this too?

Also, Kathy from OKC, please email me. You mentioned your husband was buying you a new toy at the OKC quilt show, but you never said what it was, and your email didn't have a good return on it so I could ask you. Enquiring bloggers want to know, lol.

In other news, my poor Bernina is in the shop. During one of my Mad Hatter days last week, I was trying to do some applique, and bernie was moaning. Somewhere in this house are 3 vials of oil for him and I could not find them. Finally, I discovered an old bottle ( I know it was old because it was yellow) and decided to use it. But, when I turned it up and pushed on it to dispense one drop, I got nothing. Remember now, I said it was a Mad Hatter day. I fixed that bottle of oil, I just cut the tip of it off. Then when I turned it up to oil the machine, a whole tablespoon at least ran out into my bobbin mechanism....taught that sucker to holler didn't I? lol Long story kinda short, I got as much of it out as I could, and then it really started making noise. It is now living at the Bernina shop. Supposedly I will get it back in 2 weeks. I am having them put an automatic threader on there while it is there. My eyes are getting worse and I can't seem to thread that thing anymore. I was already frustrated that day because I had been trying to thread the darn thing for about 30 minutes and had spent another 30 minutes looking for the manual needle threader I use on my serger. Just a really bad scene, lol. Still shaking my head over that one.

And today I have an appt with a dermatologist. I have a patch that has come up on my cheek and one on my neck I am not real fond of and want to have them checked out. Since I had breast cancer I get a little frantic if something appears not quite right. I have been cancer free for 1 1/2 years now and I want to keep it that way. Everytime my bones hurt, I am afraid I have bone cancer as it is. That is one of the things that supposedly you are more succeptable to when you have had breast cancer. So between fighting at windmills over something I can do nothing about and having reactions to the preventative cancer medicine I have to take, some days are just Mad Hatter days around here. BUT, I am alive and well and not living in Canada, lol.

And that is the end of this post!

Busted!

I got busted by the RGC kid and the whirling dervish from Florida. You would think that anyone that wears a pink tiara (with glitter yet!) wouldn't have the nerve to tease a poor old lady with purple hair, would you? How do they know? Maybe the purple is heriditary! I'm just saying.....

Anyway, I did watch the Patriots whip whoever they played Sunday, and then I watched the younger Manning beat the other team...see, my "no memory" is failing me again, lol, so I know the Patriots and whoever Manning plays for are playing in the Super Bowl "soon" .

AND, YES, I AM DELIRIOUS THAT THE PATRIOTS WON! AND I WANT ONE OF THE SKULL CAPS LIKE THOSE WONDERFUL YOUNG MEN WEAR AND I AM JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND ALL THAT STUFF AND

THERE IS JOY IN OKLAHOMA!!!!!!
However, life got in the way this weekend and I did not feel like expending the energy to express my joy!!! In other words, I felt like #$@^&$#@!!!
