I made him watch the soccer semi final game and this is my reward, lol. I told him I must love him a lot to put up with that “s*&*”, lol. My ears are ringing. We will not smile until our braces come off he tells me, lol.
I have to show you these also. Some of the new lilies. I think I bought small ones for this whole bed.
And here are my favorite red lilies. They are so vibrant and deep, and when they die and you take the dead blooms off there is a red residue in your hand, the color is so intense.
A closeup of the white ones with a lavender ring inside of them. So very pretty and dainty looking.
The large bush you see in the background is a Banksia Rose. It bloomed a little this year, but next year there should be blooms all over it. We planted this 3 years ago, and it has taken it this long to get going. The soil in that corner of the yard is awful. If any of you remember Sharon had a picture of a tree with yellow roses all over it several months ago. Well that was a Banksia Rose. Hopefully mine will look like that next year.
And that is all for today. It is quiet right now, we are through with the Rock Guitar and just playing Halo on the 360; I can stand that, lol. His mother is on her way so he will be leaving shortly. I hate to see him go, I only see him about 3 or 4 times a year.
I hope all have a great week!

I was never one for hard rock, though soft rock works for me.
Loving all the different flowers!
You're a good Grandma for listening :) My daughter has quit smiling for pictures because of braces also. I told her she always looks like she's smirking now lol!
Don't the teenage boys love guitars and drums. I have several, and they all love them. Your yardis looking really nice, and the lilies are beautiful.
What a handsome young man. And I'm with you I can't stand that noise. LOL My son used to have that deep thumping from his base speakers. I would poke my head out and point my fingers. He's shut it down right now!!!! I told him I'd come out there and rip those speakers out of that truck. Guess he believed me.
Your flowers are so pretty!!
Your flowers are very pretty....did you headache go away?????
Hi Perry,
I hope you have recovered from your experience of Guitar hero- my 20 year old discovered it and he and his friends come to play at our house regularly because we have a big screen TV. Where might you ask in our little house is it- why of course it is in our living room where we all try and live happily together. The other night Bruce and I went off for a walk about 10:30 so they could make music together... THe things we do because we love our kids.... I figure it is better than some other choices he could make and better than some of the shooting games that he will play- Anyway he is a nice young guy just trying to find his way and one of the ways he and his friends like to do it is to play Rock Band or Guitar Band!!!
Your flowers are lovely- and are you building any quilts these days? I look forward to seeing your next project.
I am almost done the flimsy top for my niece's wedding. I have to finish the last row and then have the top and bottom half rows.
My friend and I found a skirt for the wedding so I will now be suitably dressed for the wedding too.
Be well,
Regards,
Anna
