Ice Storm December 2007

Aud asleep in her chair in front of the fireplace trying to stay warm.
Perry talking on the phone with her daughter, who had called to check on us.

Picture taken about dusk from the front door. The icycles have been dripping all day and they are still really long.
I have done nothing today. We woke up to no power around 8 am, and it didn't come back on until 3 this afternoon. Spent the day trying to stay warm. Thank heavens for fireplaces.
Did get the rest of what little decorating we intend to do done. Will post those pictures tomorrow.
I don't have anything to post on my quilt challenge with Nicole, Lisa or Cindy . Hopefully I can remedy that this week. I am still having problems with my ears and I guess I will have to go back to the doctor again, but I really don't have time, lol.
To everyone out there having bad weather I hope it stops soon.

Bless your hearts. You poor things, Aud looks so cute laying there in that chair with her hat on keeping warm. Turn that fireplace back on. On the National news tonight it was saying how bad it was in OK. I will be thinking of you. Call me tomorrow when you get up so I know you guys are okay.

Hoping for a better day for you today. You are having much worse weather than we are up in New England. Take care and stay warm.

Hope you still have power! Looks like Aud was quite content all bundled up without electricity!

Hi Perry, when I heard about the ice storms I thought of you right away! So glad you are mostly ok and that you have fireplaces. I don't think I could possibly stay in my little townhouse if the furnace wasn't running. They just don't build these new places to hold either the heat in winter nor the cool in summer like in a house.
You look all cozy and comfy in your recliner!
Love the Roman Stripe..I have that book but haven't made a thing as yet! Hugs for better days, Finn
