Back to Purple

It has been a long month without purple. But it's back!

When I retired I decided to wear my hair straight so I don't have to fool with it. I don't really like it straight, but I like the options. Anyway, it was pretty boring, so Shelva, my hairdresser, and I decided to jazz it up a little. I had pink streaks for a while, but then we found the purple. And so I have purple streaks in my hair. I get a lot of remarks on this, especially from the young men that I run across. They always comment on my hair, and tell me they really like it. Not sure why, that never seizes to amaze me, but I have to giggle. They probably just figure I am a crazy old woman. Wonder why.

I have an acquaintance who has her hair short, straight and spikey with the purple.

OMG, I didn't know I had a friend with purple hair! There is just no end to your nerve! Haven't I been telling you how creative you are?

Fun! Fun! I love your purple hair. I'd like some pink streaks in mind, but my husband would probably have a heart attack. He wouldn't complain; he'd just have a heart attack.

Hi Perry, had to pop over and say "hi". Thanks for visiting me at Pieces and leaving such a nice comment. Welcome to the quilt group in Blogland *VBS*
Love the purple! And short hair? What's not to love..? Fast to wash and fast to dry.
Thanks for the tutorial on doing a link..I am one of the 'link' challenged ones, but you've given me courage to try it again!
Keep stitching! Hugs, Finn

And, it has to make it easy when you're going to meet a stranger . . say at a quilt show! You can just say "I'm the one with the purple hair!" Looks great on you and congratulations for having the guts to do it.

Isn't it fun being a "crazy old woman"? Doesn't it say, "When I get old I'm going to wear purple"?
Enjoy!!!!

I love it, Perry!! You are so cute! I am dying my hair a ruby red at the moment, so hopefully I fit into the "crazy old woman" category, too! It's such fun, I think!

I LOVE it -- I've done blue, purple and hot pink at various points before I decided I had to be "professional". If I get the chance some day -- it will be back to the colors!
